Service
A website isn't a picture you hang on the wall and forget. WordPress ships updates every week, and an un-updated site is the most common reason sites get hacked. Maintenance is work someone has to do — either us or you.
What happens
Maintenance isn't a promise to be around. It's a schedule that runs whether or not you've thought about your site this month. This is what it looks like.
Scope
A plan isn't insurance against everything. Below is what's included, so there's no argument later about what you expected and what we promised.
The flip side
This isn't scaremongering, just a description of the cases people most often come to us with when their site was built elsewhere. Each of these only becomes visible once it has already happened.
Plans
Prices are monthly, excluding VAT, on a contract with no minimum term. You can stop whenever you like — the site stays yours and you get the latest backup.

Online shops
With a shop, every hour of downtime means missed orders, and updates touch both payments and delivery. That's why maintenance for an online shop is quoted separately, based on the scope of that particular shop.

For an online shop, the price is quoted separately, because the scope is different.
Yes, and that's the common case. We start with a review of the site — versions, plugins, security, speed and backups — and tell you what state it's in.
If we find something that needs fixing before we take over maintenance, we list it separately with a price. We don't take on a site whose condition we haven't seen.
There's a contract setting out what's included, the response time and what the plan doesn't cover. There's no minimum term.
You can stop at any time. You get the latest backup and all the access details, if you didn't already have them.
If the site is on a maintenance plan with us, the clean-up and restoring from backup are included. That's why we keep the backups off the server — a compromised server usually means compromised backups on it too.
If the site isn't on a plan, we still help, but as a separate service billed by the hour.
Yes, within the hours in your plan — changing a text, a photo or a phone number, adding a news item or a product. Unused hours don't roll over to the next month.
Bigger work, such as a new section or a new page type, is quoted separately.
Not by default. If you like, we take those on too — then we also keep track of renewals, so the domain doesn't expire at the wrong moment.
Either way, the domain stays registered to you, not to us.
Not directly. Maintenance protects the technical condition — speed, availability, no broken links — and those are conditions without which optimization doesn't work. But ranking itself is separate work.

Send us the address and we'll tell you what state it's in — versions, security, speed and backups. The review is free and commits you to nothing.
