Service
Off-the-shelf invoicing software works as long as your business works like everyone else's. When invoices have to come out of your shop by themselves, pass through several people or look like your brand rather than the software — that's when a system gets written. We issue our own invoices from one we wrote ourselves.
What it can do
These are the things we're asked for most often. The list isn't a menu with limits — each item is built around the way you work, not someone else's.
Our own
Illumi's invoices are issued from a system we wrote for ourselves. Here's what it does today — as an example of how far such a system goes, not as a limit.
Honestly
Free invoicing software does the job for most companies. If you're one of them, we'll tell you in the very first conversation.
How it goes
The document your customers see is made first. Everything else is built around it in stages, with a working part at each one.
How an invoice is issued today — who does it, from what and how many times a month. Including the workarounds, because that's where the real task is.
What goes into the first version and what is left for later. A written quote with stages and a timeline.
The page is designed in your brand and checked on paper, as a PDF and on a phone.
Issuing and sending first, then the links to the shop, the warehouse and the accounts.
Test documents built on your cases, including the odd ones — credit notes, foreign customers, discounts.
Importing your customers and old invoices, training the team. The code and the access are yours.

+359 882 95 89 89It starts at €2,000 for a system that issues, sends and stores your team's invoices. Links to a shop, warehouse or accounting software and unusual documents are priced separately.
The exact price is in the written quote after our conversation, because the same idea can be simple or complex depending on your process.
Issuing invoices doesn't require the software to be approved. What's required is that the invoice contains the mandatory details under the Bulgarian VAT Act and that the numbering is sequential, with no gaps — the system takes care of both.
It's different if the software will manage sales in a retail outlet with cash or card payments. Then the requirements of Ordinance N-18 for sales management software (SUPTO) apply. Which case is yours is worked out in the first conversation. This isn't legal advice — if in doubt, we also ask your accountant.
Yes. Amounts are in euro, and beneath them the system shows the lev equivalent at the fixed rate of 1.95583. Ours works the same way.
Yes. A paid order creates an invoice, the number is assigned automatically and the PDF goes to the customer. If something's wrong — a missing company number or address — the invoice stays a draft and someone on the team takes a look.
See also integrations — the same principle applies to the warehouse, courier and accounting.
In most cases a ready-made one is the more sensible choice, and we'll recommend it. A custom system makes sense when data is retyped by hand, when the team is large and you pay per user, or when your documents don't fit into the ready-made product.
Yes — the customers, numbers and amounts. Our own system started by importing the entire archive from our previous software, and the total matched the paper copies to the cent.
You do. You get the code, the database and the access. The data lives on your hosting, not in someone else's service you'd have to export it from if you decided to leave.
Next step
Who writes them, from what, and how many there are a month. That shows whether you need a system — and if you don't, we'll tell you.
